We work across England. Drainage design is desk work, so we do not need to be local to you — but the lead local flood authority does matter, because it sets the local standards your scheme is judged against and the discharge rate you will be allowed.
That is the part that genuinely varies by location, and it is the first thing we check on any site. Pick your area below and the page will tell you which authority covers it and what they actually ask for.

Why the authority matters more than the distance
Two sites a mile apart can sit in different authorities with different local standards, different discharge rate expectations and different validation requirements. Two sites two hundred miles apart can be near-identical if the geology and the authority’s requirements match.
Leeds asks for a drainage strategy on any site over 250 square metres. West Berkshire will not permit a discharge to a foul or combined sewer at all. Telford and Wrekin do not allow surface water pumps. London requires a specific proforma before an application is even valid. None of that is guesswork you should have to do.
