What to send us for a quote
The more of this you have, the faster and firmer the price. Nothing here is essential to make contact — if you only have an address, start there.
- Site address and postcode — this tells us the lead local flood authority, which drives most of the requirements
- Planning reference, if an application has been made — we can look up the conditions ourselves
- The condition wording, if you are discharging one
- A site plan or proposed layout, at any stage of finish
- Percolation test results, if any exist
- Your deadline, and whether the authority has set one
Where we work
We are based in Wolverhampton and work across England — over 600 projects in 65 postcode areas. Drainage design is desk work, so we do not need to be local to you. What matters is knowing the authority, and that is what we check first.
Percolation testing is carried out by our sister company PT (West Midlands) Ltd, and CCTV drainage surveys by Clear Drain.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you turn work around?
Once we have the information we need, we will give you a programme for your particular scheme. Where a percolation test or a topographical survey is still to be done, that sits in front of the design. We will tell you the realistic date rather than the optimistic one.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Send us the site details and we will price the work. If what you actually need is different from what you asked for, we will say so — it is usually less, not more.
Can you work from someone else’s percolation test or survey?
Yes, provided the testing was carried out to BRE 365 and the results are documented. There is no need to repeat work that has already been done properly.
Do you deal with the council on our behalf?
Yes. We correspond with the lead local flood authority and the planning officer directly, respond to their comments, and see the submission through to approval.
